Barrett-Jackson Saturday and Sunday coverage.  Sorta.
In order to not compete with our TV watching, I programmed my DVR to record the replay at night.  Speed did something really cool.
The Saturday replay played for about 20 mins, and then Speed replayed Wednesday over the Saturday show.
I was fast forwarding through the 10th miracle putty commercial  and I notice that the auction numbers went from 1300′s to the 400′s.

WTF?  So I rewind and there it was something like “We bring you this program already in progress” and they start showing the replay from Wednesday.

And that also reminds me, Speed, us “muscle car” hobbyists don’t CARE about the “Great Gatsby”, “Model-T’s”, “Dump Trucks”, “Fire Engines”, and any other non-muscle car featured on the auction.  Go to commercial during the model-T, not the 1969 GTO.  Go to commercial during the 2005 Mustang, not the 72 Hemi Cuda.

I can’t tell you how many times I would fast forward to a “good” car, and they would be at commercial and miss 3 cars that I wanted to see.  I think that we need to email Speed and tell them to please carefully choose the cars they go to commercial during.

Barrett-Jackson Sat and Sun: Thanks Speed, for replaying Wed instead of the Sat coverage, and going to commercial during cars we wanted to see.

Special thanks to Diane, I have some pictures of the Camaro concept car that was here in St. Louis at the Auto Show.Back when I worked for a car dealership we brought cars to the auto show and I helped work there. It’s mainly a way for the general public to touch, taste, smell, etc just about every model car for sale in the area. And of course, there are salesmen there to answer every question you may have about the cars, especially when you can stop by the dealership to test drive and buy a car.So, here are the pictures of the Camaro Concept, which by the way didn’t arrive at the show until two days later “due to the high demand of this concept vehicle”. So, here they are:stl_autoshow-camaro5sm.jpg  stl_autoshow-camaro4sm.jpg stl_autoshow-camaro3sm.jpgstl_autoshow-camaro2sm.jpg stl_autoshow-camaro1sm.jpg

It’s moving along nicely.

The bodywork is complete, at the time of these photos it’s in primer. Brett said that he didn’t find any surprises and the project is on schedule by being completed in June.

The car is due to go in for paint next week.
